According to the ownership papers, this Yamaha XJ650RJ Seca started life in standard silver livery. By the time it fell into the hands of #1 son, it was a faded, chalky white. Having inherited his mom's artistic bent, and having found the sale of the century on leathers at a show, he decided to get creative, resulting in this distinctive grey-on-black colour scheme with asymmetrical trim colour-matched to his leathers. A patriotic Canuk, the maple leaves were masked out with real leaves he selected from trees on the property.
Astute observers will have noted the YICS designation on the engine covers. Re-engined last winter, this 650 outperforms the standard Yamaha offering.
