The Village Potter
operates year round in beautiful Muskoka. We have created a complete line of
functional stoneware including muffing bakers, tea pots, goblets, brie bakers
and casseroles. Each pot is made by hand and fired in a wood-fuelled kiln. The
atmosphere within the kiln creates an effect on the pots called flashing or
toasting which in appearance resembles sprinkled cinnamon. This surface is a
durable as a fully glazed pot.
All of the pots are designed
to be used everyday in your home or cottage. The glazes are food safe and can be
used in the oven, microwave and dishwasher. Our colours are soft earth tones,
they include yellow, green, jet black, and of course a customer favourite,
Anne's Blue.
Our log studio has a
pleasant and friendly atmosphere, so feel free to drop by for a visit.
