Margaret McGinn Jamieson graduated from the Ontario College
of Art in 1955 in Toronto Ontario. Renowned artists Carl
Schaefer, Eric Freifeld, Frederick Hagan, Fred Varley, and A. J.
Casson, instructed her. Landscape and still life are her
favourite subjects.
Margaret paints in both watercolour and oil. She loves the wilderness
scenes of northern Ontario, Muskoka and the South West
United States. In addition, she has painted scenes in France, Great Britain,
Russia, and Italy.
All seasons are depicted in her paintings. Margaret feels that a painting is like looking out a
window at a scene you love to see when you can’t actually
be there.
