Anne fell in love with Muskoka as a young girl. She has been blessed to spend precious time there every year of her life, first in the log cabin her Grandfather built and now across the lake at her family’s lodge. It has always been a special place where she could dream, play, fill her spirit and be in bliss. And many times, photography was her way to take Muskoka with her. She could often be found, camera in hand, at water’s edge or out paddling, listening for the call of the loon. Through her university years, then teaching, and now a wife and mother of three young boys she has remained captivated by the beauty and peace Muskoka instills. She still steals away to catch moments of magic through the lens.

"I love capturing the classic elements that intertwine into the very essence of a space, the essence that touches the heart through the eyes. I especially love photographing the distinct elements of Muskoka. I am drawn to the chairs, docks, canoes, loons, lily pads, all on the rich canvas of rocks, water and trees, in the enchanting lights of dusk and dawn. It is a sanctuary whose essence allows you to connect with your own."

Anne has recently published a book, The Essence of Muskoka, which includes her photography and accompanying passages that also speak to the heart.

"There is a lightness of being Muskoka infuses into us. The air entices us to slow down and really breathe. It reaches far into our very cells, our very depths, releasing the old, cleansing and rejuvenating, filling us with joyful breath. Each characteristic of Muskoka, each note of the song, each flower of the garden reaches every one of us individually; collectively they combine to create a symphony of life experiences we treasure."

It is a timeless gift created to allow everyone to keep Muskoka close to them, wherever they may be.

Her prints are also available in beautiful barn board frames, specially handcrafted by her Uncle, Steven Webb, to enhance each individual picture. These can be purchased at Caribou Lodge on Wood Lake, or by contacting Anne. Her book is available in wonderful stores throughout Muskoka.
