I am a graduate of the University of Guelph with an Honours B.A. and M.A. in Philosophy. Studies were also completed at the
Dundas Valley School of Art, Haliburton School of Fine Art, and Canadore College.
I have exhibited extensively throughout Ontario and Canada, including shows at the McMichael Gallery and the Art Gallery of
Ontario, and internationally in Wales and China.
For the past few year, my main medium has been printmaking, including woodcuts, etchings, lithographs and monotypes.
Sometimes, I explore a theme in different media such as blockprints, paintings, and wall hangings. Recently, I have
incorporated fine art art book printing and binding and have published some of my poetry and images together. The content of
my work is mainly symbolic. It is intended to awaken our imagination, our souls, and our powers of interpretation.
Many years ago I did some pastel paintings but stopped when I pursued
printmaking. Now I am back doing some pastels again. I have always enjoyed the feeling of both drawing and painting with pastels. New work inspired by
childhood memories is in progress.
My retail showroom is part of my log home, located in the scenic tourist region of Muskoka. The space is informal and
includes an enclosed porch and two inside rooms. Here, you will find a variety of hand-pulled prints as well as paintings,
sculptures, and mixed media pieces. Some work may be purchased framed or unframed. Also, there is a wide selection of
cards and stationary with images produces from my original art work. These cards are also wholesaled. Prices for my original
pieces range from $25 to $4,000 Canadian.
