| I'm a Torontonian by birth and have been living in
Muskoka since 1990. In addition to being an artist, I am a Fine Art
Agent representing the well-known outsider artist, Mendelson
Joe.
I moved to Muskoka following a business career with Procter and
Gamble. While in Toronto, I began taking evening classes at the Ontario
College of Art. Here in Muskoka, I have continued my study of fine arts
through Nipissing University.
For the last two years, I have been preoccupied with making pen and
ink drawings. The subject matter of my work includes everything from the
Emsdale Airport, construction vehicles, electrical transformer stations
to more traditional Muskoka scenes. Many of my images are available as
note cards.
My work hangs at my gallery, located
in Emsdale.

"Karen Robinson's pen and inkings range
from loving documents like her pantry
to bent renditions of vehicles and equipment. It's those
detailed depictions
that go askew; they speak to me the way Van Gogh's still-lives
speak to me."
