Hats off to Muskoka Arts & Crafts
Every
year, the Chapel Gallery Committee thinks of a concept for the annual
gallery challenge. It’s a way to artistically shake off the winter
doldrums and to get the creative juices flowing. For this year's theme,
the
Chapel Gallery Committee put on its thinking cap and asked the members to
create a celebratory hat. Whether it's an ascot,
balaclava, bonnet, baseball cap, beanie, bowler, fascinator, fedora, hard
hat, party hat, sombrero, Stetson, top hat or something completely out of
the ordinary, these hats are functional and non-functional.

If You Go Out In The Woods: Recent Work by Miranda Britton & Scott Turnbull
Human beings have an undeniable connection to
storytelling. As the parents of two young children, artists Miranda and
Scott are busy reaquainting themselves with traditional fairy tales,
fables and folktales. Inspired by the imagery and ideas that these classic
stores evoke, Miranda and Scott have combined their skills in jewellery
making and photography to create a body of work which explores and
extrapolates upon a selection of traditional stories.
