Patrons may renew their books at any time ONLINE through our Online Catalogue & Your Account Icon located on the Home Page of our Website or by calling the library. (Have your library card ready) Overdue charges of .20¢ per day per book will apply for items not renewed by due date.

Audio & Large Print Books.
A variety of large print books and talking books (books on cassette tape or CD) are available through the library's own collection and through interlibrary loan services.

Interlibrary Loan.
This service offers you materials which are not in our collection: Books, Magazine articles, Language Learning Tapes, Genealogical Information, Audio Books etc. Through an Inter-Loan system we have available the resources of every public library in Ontario. Through a provincially coordinated system, a reader in Gravenhurst can request a title that is not available in our library and receive it from another library. You can now search via the internet at the library or at home for books not located at your library. If you find the title you want listed, bring the information to our interlibrary loan staff at the library or click Interlibrary Loans to submit your request.

Photocopying & Printing
Charges for photo copying and printing are as follows:
01 - 49 copies $0.20 ea.
50 - 99 copies $0.15 ea.
100 + copies $0.10 ea.
You may print from any one of our computers at just $0.20 per page.

Gravenhurst Archives
Appointments please call 705-687-3382 or submit your email inquiry.
The Gravenhurst Archive is a repository of historical material relating to the Gravenhurst area. Most is on paper, including newspaper and magazine articles, photographs, memorabilia, deeds, bills of sale.
Newspapers and census records are on microfilm, available on application to a librarian, for access via our reader-printer. Displays are changed regularly in a case on the second floor. Access to items in the repository may be obtained by completing an enquiry form, available from a Librarian.

Volunteers staff the Archive, and the results of your enquiry will be sent to you by email or regular mail, or arrangements will be made for an appointment. There is no fixed charge. We operate with a small Town grant, plus the facilities of the library, income from donations, and from sales of two books, which we have published. The first is out of print, and the second, The Gilded Cage, German Prisoner of War Camp 20, price $25, and is almost out of print, with about 20 copies remaining. A second edition, with additional material and a higher price is expected in May 2003.

We are always interested in materials or information in your possession that may not already be part of the Archive. Please allow us to review them, with the option of seeking a copy, or their donation to the Archive. The Library also has available, for circulation or reference, a collection of books about Gravenhurst and Muskoka, to which a Librarian can direct you.
