
Children's Library Card Information
How do I get a library card? It's easy and free! Just come to the
library and fill out a registration form. If you are 13 years of age or younger
you will need your parent or guardian's signature on the form. Your parent
will also need proof of your current Gravenhurst address when you come to
get your card.
How old do I have to be to get a card? If you are three years of
age or older and live, or go to school in Gravenhurst, you may have a Gravenhurst
Libraries card.
What can I borrow? Children 13 years of age and younger can
borrow all materials.
How many items can I borrow? You can borrow as many items
as you want to read! If you are taking out books for a school project, please
select the best two books you can find and leave the rest for other children
studying the same subject.
How long can I keep the things I borrow? Books and audio
cassettes are available for three weeks. CDs are loaned for one week .
What about overdue fines? If you keep children's books or
audio cassettes for longer than 3 weeks, you have to pay 20 cents a day for
every extra day you keep it.
Who can use my card? Only you can use your library card and you must
present it each time you come to the library to borrow materials.
I've lost my library card, what should I do? If you lose your library card
there is a $3.00 replacement charge. Take care of your card and never lend
it to anyone else. You are responsible for all materials borrowed on your
card.
