| SureNet/Support/Number Change Instructions |
With the recent changes to Bell’s network, and the addition of 10 digit dialing, it is necessary to add the area code to your internet dial up connection properties. Please adjust and add your area code to your local dial up number. ( Huntsville and area is listed in the instructions )
Windows 95/98:
- Double click the My Computer icon.
- Double click the Dial Up Networking folder.
- In the folder that opens, there should be a "SureNet" icon or something similar. Right click the icon and select Properties from the menu that appears.
- Telephone Number: Add the Area Code in front of the number ( Ex: 705-788-7032 )
- Click OK to save your settings.
Windows XP:
- Click the Start button.
- Select Connect To and then click on the Show all
connections option.
- In the folder that opens, there should be a "SureNet" icon or something similar. Right click the icon and select Properties from the menu that appears.
- Telephone Number: Add the Area Code in front of the number ( Ex: 705-788-7032 )
- Click OK to save your settings.
Windows Vista:
- Click the Start button.
- Select Connect To.
- In the window that opens, there should be a "SureNet" connection listed or something similar. Right click the connection and select Properties from the menu that appears.
- Telephone Number: Add the Area Code in front of the number ( Ex: 705-788-7032 )
- Click OK to save your settings.
MacOS X:
- Click on the Apple menu.
- Select System Preferences.
- Select the Network icon followed by PPP tab.
- Telephone Number: Add the Area Code in front of the number ( Ex: 705-788-7032 )
- Click Apply Now.
