| Mendelson
Joe is the quintessential Canadian outsider artist. Landscapes, social
commentary, nudes, and portraits are all impassioned themes that M. Joe
translates in his own unique and vivid style onto canvas. His paintings
are internationally recognized as outstanding, unique examples of contemporary
Canadian art. |

Art critic Gary Michael Dault writes:
"M. Joe does all the time, every
day, what artists have now largely forgotten to do: paint what he sees, what
he feels, what he thinks. He also paints what he loves and paints what
he hates. For me, M. Joe is a one-man passion-play, a powerful and often
disturbingly decisive delineator of the human condition."

| In 1982, Mr. Joe began the
self-commissioned series of portraits entitled "Working Women".
The series now numbers nearly 300 portraits and encompasses the broad range of
vocations that women perform, such as a CF-18 pilot, judge, publishing magnate,
boxer, and bank teller to name just a few.
