Andrew is a professional landscape and nature photographer who currently lives in Bracebridge, Ontario. Specializing in dramatic light landscape photography, Andrew is out most days well before and after sunrise and sunset. “This is when the light is at it’s most dramatic and when the colours of the sky really come alive.”

Andrew uses a variety of cameras and lenses to capture his images from the latest in digital technology to traditional 4x5 large format view cameras. “Whether I am shooting digitally or with traditional film, I first look for scenes that contain strong elements of design and then strive to shoot them when the lighting is at it’s most dramatic.”

Andrew is also a fine art printmaker specializing in producing Giclee archival prints on canvas. “I love the painterly quality canvas gives my work, since I am mostly shooting at low light levels there is already a certain abstract aspect about my photography that is enhanced by the texture of the canvas”. Andrew’s fine art canvas prints can be viewed and purchased from the the Silver Bridge Gallery on Manitoba Street in Bracebridge.
